 Alphonse Wiebelt

The career of make-up artist Alphonse Wiebelt is one of considerable accomplishment. His technical skill and painters eye for color, texture, and detail have firmly established his unique approach to beauty. His twenty-plus years of industry experience has allowed him to achieve widespread recognition for his contribution to the cosmetic industry — from product development, to education to brand conception.

Born in New Orleans, Alphonse's first notion of make-up came from his mother's precise application of 70's liquid eyeliner. His interest in color and application quickly expanded into painting on canvas. His medium expanded from canvas and oils to the face with an expressive palette of pigments.

In 1987 Alphonse was awarded top honors for his work in editorial print which led him to New York to work with CHANEL. Assisting the American Color Director for Chanel, Guy Lento, with personal appearances to the CHANEL runway, the experience further launched his career. Soon his talent was recognized by Kevyn Aucoin, where he became a part of his runway team working the shows of Donna Karen, Isaac Mizrahi, Todd Oldham and Ralph Lauren. Landing editorials in top industry publications, his work in Allure and Glamour segwayed to working with Pat McGrath, Sonia Kashuk and Diane Kendal.

The business side of beauty beckoned as he began working simultaneously with product development, education and brand development for Trish McEvoy, Lancome, Prescriptives and Paula Dorf. In 2004, Alphonse was called upon to co-develop BeingTRUE Cosmetics, introducing a new level of beauty to the professional market.

Alphonse's work in the fashion and cosmetic industry to the celebrity client and everyday women has built him a well rounded background of experience. As co-founder of, he is proud to have a platform that has been created to share his vast knowledge and offer a place of inspiration and exchange for make-up artists and future professionals.

 Brian Sutherby

The career of Brian Sutherby is one of measured success spanning well over 20 years. As a Lead Makeup Artist, Educational Director, and VP of Sales for some of the industry's leading brands, Brian has found a striking home for his collective experience in his partnership with MUSE BEAUTY. Brian's formula for success - have a passion for one's profession, never stop seeking new skill-sets, and always tap into the infinite source of inspiration from all around. With this in place all things are possible.

The son of an artist, Brian watched attentively throughout his formative years as his mother painted, developing his imaginative eye for color and detail. As impressionable, over-the-top fashion and cosmetic trends of the 1980s shifted, the movement towards artistry inspired cosmetic brands struck a passionate, artistic cord within him. Long before industry giants such as MAC, Bobbi Brown, and Trish McEvoy became household names, Brian entrenched himself in their teachings and like any true artist, paired those lessons with his personalized style and approach to beauty. Today, with a loyal following of clients throughout the U.S. and Europe, Brian's career as artist and educator continues to create a body of work in both the lifestyle and professional arenas.

Passion. People. Proficiency.

As an educator in the beauty industry for more than two decades, Brian continues to expand on these core principles as artist, educator and mentor. In his experience, these three connecting points can bridge one's vision to their personalized style for a fulfilling career. Brian's belief that the mark of a great teacher is not one who simply possesses knowledge and experience, but one's willingness to share. MUSE BEAUTY is inspiration, education and exchange and it is in Brian's sharing of his experiences readily with others that those exchanges take on a meaning not found in any textbook.
